Debicella Makes Debate Announcement

Press Release

Date: Oct. 1, 2014
Location: Fairfield, CT

Dan Debicella, businessman and candidate for Congressman, announced today that there will be six debates between Jim Himes and him this fall. Three of the debates are confirmed, while the other three are currently being scheduled.

The three scheduled debates so far are:

October 19th in Wilton, sponsored by the League of Women Voters

October 20th in Stamford, sponsored by the World Affairs Forum

October 28th in Norwalk, sponsored by the Norwalk Chamber of Commerce

"While we have three debates on the books, we are still working on scheduling three more," said John Puskar, spokesman for the Debicella campaign. "In the previous election, Congressman Himes and Senator Debicella debated six times and it's our sincere hope that the Congressman allows the voters to hear the stark differences between him and Dan."

The other three debates, currently being scheduled are organized by WICC Radio, Hersam-Acorn and the AARP.

"Voters deserve to know the difference between the Himes' Washington record of cozying up to lobbyists, voting against allowing you to keep your insurance and a Connecticut economy that is 50th out of 50 in job creation," said Debicella. "I have laid out a very different path, with detailed, bi-partisan ideas on job creation, healthcare and transportation."
